Many organisations in our partnership have a standard advertising method, where we post our adverts. Whilst this will generate some applications, for further consideration you should:

  • Think about advertising differently, depending on the candidates you want to see.
  • Think about the language you use, try to de-bias the language as much as possible and remove corporate jargon.
  • Think of creative ways to showcase your organisation and all that Lincolnshire has to offer. Encourage and promote to a wider audience.
  • Consider including a Diversity statement to demonstrate your organisations commitment to creating an equal and inclusive working environment for all people of all backgrounds.

Committed to developing a diverse team and Board of Trustees, not limited to age, sex, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, ability or disability. We seek to provide representation by recruiting and engaging with people with the protected characteristics, or with relevant lived experience and welcome all applications, particularly those from individuals with professional or personal lived experience of facing inequalities and experience facing barriers to participation in physical activity (including people with disabilities, long term health conditions, minority ethnic groups, LGBTQ+).

Be creative!
